FREE one-week, in-person camp for high school students on the Washington University Danforth Campus.

The NSF Institute for Data-Driven Dynamical Design (ID4), BrightPath STEAM Academy, and the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University are hosting the 2022 AIR-D Summer Science Camp. The camp is a FREE, one-week, all-day (9 am to 4 pm) learning experience on the topics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and Drones.

Participants will:

  • learn about artificial intelligence (AI) in the real world and it's applications,
  • program drones and learn about python
  • reason about ethical dilemmas, and
  • meet computer science researchers and learn about their work

July 25-29, 2022 | 9 am - 4 pm (Daily)

Students must meet participant qualifications and complete an online application by June 1, 2022. The selection notifications will be sent on June 15, 2022.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a high school student in the 2022-2023 academic year
  • Must reside in the St. Louis metropolitan area
  • Must be able to attend the full week

This summer progam is funded by the The NSF Institute for Data-Driven Dynamical Design (ID4). The ID4 aims to transform how scientists and engineers harness data when designing materials and structures. We are dedicated to educating, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation of students in computational and experimental science.

Public health concerns may result in the cancellation of the AIR-D Summer Science Camp. The Program is subject to change as deemed necessary by the University to address public health concerns.
